This webcast will provide an overview of the e-waste laws in the various states (and New York City) and specifically review the registration fees and renewal fees required by each law. Additionally, the webcast will discuss the states that have pending e-waste legislation.
With rising compliance costs for collecting and recycling e-waste, this webinar will provide companies with the unique opportunity to learn about each law and the required registration fees.

Presenter's Bios:
Parker Brugge is the Vice President, Environmental Affairs and Industry Sustainability for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
He is responsible for representing the consumer electronics industry internationally, and before federal, state and local governments on critical issues such as electronics recycling, substance restrictions, energy efficiency and other environmental issues.
Previously he practiced law for 15 years in Washington, D.C., where he assisted corporate, governmental and non-profit organizations in working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, state regulatory agencies, and the Congress on environmental regulatory, legislative and litigations issues and strategies. From 1993 to 1997, Brugge served as Counselor to the Assistant Administrator for Solid Waste and Emergency Response at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Brugge received his law degree from the College of William and Mary and his chemical engineering degree from the University of Virginia.
Amy Dempster is the Manager of Environmental Policy and Sustainability Issues for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
In this position, Dempster is responsible for representing the consumer electronics industry on issues pertaining to environmental policy such as e-waste, energy efficiency as well as other relevant state, federal and international polices.
Previously Dempster worked as a state government affairs lobbyist in New Jersey where she managed the firm’s energy portfolio and provided legislative and regulatory advice in addition to implementing grassroots advocacy and organizing on a range of initiatives.
Dempster earned a Masters of Public Policy degree, with a concentration in political processes and institutions from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the California State University of Fullerton.
