Although Israel is a small country, about the size of New Jersey and with fewer inhabitants than New York, it has greatly impacted successes in the high-tech industry. The Silicon Wadi is second only to the Silicon Valley in California and encompasses most of the country. It is home multinational companies such as Google, HP and Intel to name a few, and despite its size, Israel is the third highest represented country on the NASDAQ, with 75 Israeli companies worth a total of $60 billion.
