Description: The built-in home technologies segment of the CE industry continues to face challenges due to the economy and struggling real estate market. But once housing starts improve, overall revenues for home technologies are expected to increase. Given the strong relationship between the real estate market and these key technologies, its important to understand Realtors experiences and perceptions of home technologies. The Realtors® and Home Technologies Study seeks to understand how Realtors view installed home technologies as it relates to the real estate market and determine how to best educate Realtors on technologies for the home. This study explores: Realtor awareness, perceptions and knowledge about home technologies Where Realtors obtain information about home technologies Realtors influence on the inclusion, valuation and purchase of technologies for the home Additionally, this study focuses in on MRA/MRAV systems to understand: The types of homes Realtors which currently have MRA/MRAV systems The interaction between Realtors and clients regarding MRA/MRAV systems during the home buying/selling process This analysis is pertinent to anyone involved in the manufacturing, selling or installation of home technology including: home builders, technology manufacturers, technology installers, realtors, appraisers, home inspectors as well as anyone involved in the real estate industry.
